A Tilbury woman has died after a vehicle crashed into the side of a Chatham home.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were alerted to the single-vehicle collision on Creek Road near Maynard Line at around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday. Emergency crews arrived to find that the vehicle had left the road and struck a residence.
The driver of the vehicle, a 23-year-old Tilbury woman, was rushed to hospital in serious condition before being transferred to London Health Science Centre, where she succumbed to her injuries on Monday.
A 24-year-old man, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was also taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
Police have not disclosed whether or not anyone was inside the residence at the time of the collision.
