A local man has been charged following a single-vehicle crash near North Buxton.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to the area near A.D. Shadd Line and Seventh Line at around 1 p.m. on Monday after a vehicle drove off the road and into a ditch.
No injuries were reported.
Believing he had been drinking, police arrested the driver and took him to police headquarters for further testing. Authorities said the driver’s breath samples registered more than three times the legal limit.
As a result, a 21-year-old Raleigh Township man has been charged with impaired driving and driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit. He was later released with a November court date.
