Provincial Police are thanking a passing motorist for helping to save a man’s life.
Elgin OPP got a call early Monday morning about a vehicle stopped on the side of the 401 near Union Road.
Officers were dispatched and found the driver unconscious, apparently in medical distress.
The doors were locked and authorities had to break into the car to get to the 35-year-old.
The Mississauga man was taken to hospital, and doctors said he would likely have died if he’d been left unattended.
