Drug bust leads to charges for 51-year-old Chatham woman

A 51-year-old Chatham woman is facing charges after a drug bust yesterday evening.

Chatham-Kent Police say around 5:45pm on Thursday, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service Intelligence Section went to a residence on Pine Street in Chatham.

Through investigation, they found over $4000 in drugs which were seized. They also found scales, packaging, and a Taser.

The woman is facing several charges, including possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of oxycodone, a prohibited weapon, and a prohibited weapon contrary to a Probation Order.

She was taken into police custody, and later released with a December 21st court date.
