Chatham-Kent Police didn’t have much trouble tracking down a suspect during a short foot chase this morning.
Around 3am, an officer spotted a man riding a bike on Park Avenue without any lights, but the cyclist fled.
The accused then allegedly threw the bike over a fence and ran off on foot before being taken into custody on St Anthony Street.
A search of the suspect turned up break-in tools and various drugs.
The 35-year-old has been charged with breaking a court-ordered curfew, possession of break-in instruments, and two counts of drug possession.
