Drug trafficking charges have been laid following a months-long investigation in St. Clair Township.
On May 20, members of the Lambton OPP Community Street Crime Unit with support from Middlesex and Brant OPP, and the West Region OPP Canine Unit conducted a traffic stop on St. Clair Parkway, while other officers carried out a search warrant at a home in Corunna.
Police seized suspected fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, Canadian and U.S. currency, and other offence-related property, worth more than $29,000.
A 42-year-old Milton resident was then charged with several offences under Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, the Criminal Code, and the Highway Traffic Act, including three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, obstructing a peace officer, and driving while suspended.
The accused was held for a bail hearing and later released from custody with a date in court next month.
