
Two people are facing charges following a drug bust on Walpole Island First Nation.
On May 2, Provincial Police and Walpole Island Police members executed a search warrant at a home on Altiman Road, where they seized suspected fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine, along with cash and other offence-related items with a total of more than $8400.
Two Walpole Island residents were arrested and are facing a slew of charges.
A 41-year-old man is charged with three counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order; failure to comply with a probation order, possession of drugs, and two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
A 33-year-old woman faces two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Both were released from custody, but will be back in front of a judge in a Sarnia courtroom in July.
