Drunk on a Lawn Mower

A Leamington man has been arrested, charged with driving a ride-on lawn mower while impaired.

Provincial Police were called to a Talbot Street West restaurant just before 1:30 Sunday morning and found the accused riding out of the drive-thru.

Officers suspected the driver was under the influence of alcohol and brought him to the local detachment for tests.

The 41-year-old is charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs and operating with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit.

Authorities are using the incident to remind everyone that operating any kind of vehicle, including cars, trucks, lawn mowers, or any kind of watercraft while impaired can result in drivers’ license suspensions, fines, vehicle impoundments, criminal records & increased insurance costs.
