More construction is coming to Wallaceburg.
Plans are in the works to fix up the Dundas Bridge, connecting James Street to Margaret Avenue over the North Sydenham River.
Despite the extended work on McNaughton and Murray, municipal officials say they don’t expect there to be any major problems.
“At this time we are not proposing to change the construction schedule for the Dundas Bridge which is slated to start on Aug. 14th,” says Chris Thibert, Manager of Infrastructure Services. “We understand there will be some overlap with the two projects but do not anticipate any significant disruption to service during this time period.”
The work includes repairs and rehabilitation of the existing bridge, which will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic until early September.
