The Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario is lashing out at the province, accusing the Ford Government of using taxpayer money to bribe parents of kids caught in the middle of a labour dispute.
The government has offered to reimburse parents of children up to grade seven as much as $60 a day for child care expenses when teachers walk off the job.
Meantime, the union says school boards in Toronto, York, and Ottawa will be affected by a full withdrawal of services next Monday.
Public high school teachers will continue rotating one-day strikes next Tuesday, although the Lambton Kent District School Board will not be affected.
And English Catholic schools across the province will be impacted by a one-day strike by members of the OECTA on Tuesday, including elementary and high schools under the St Clair Catholic District School Board.
