Elections Canada Updates Voting Options

Elections Canada’s Chief Electoral Officer Stephane Perrault is updating Canadians on the ways they will be able to vote on election day September 20th.

That includes in-person at your assigned polling station, in advance at designated advance polls, by mail, and at any Elections Canada office.

Canadians will be able to apply online to cast their vote by mail. Until now, Canadians living outside Canada who wished to vote were required to apply directly to their Elections Canada office.

If there are a considerable amount of mail-in ballots returned then results from the September 20th election may take a few days to calculate says Mr. Perrault.
