
Two arrests have been made in connection to a fraud investigation in Orford Township.
Chatham-Kent Police began looking into allegations of fraud on March 21st after numerous cheques were stolen from a local business. Two employees were identified as suspects and warrants were issued for their respective arrests.
Late Sunday afternoon, the pair turned themselves in at police headquarters in Chatham.
A 19-year-old woman from Watford has been charged with theft, possession of stolen property, 22 counts of uttering forged documents, and 22 counts of fraud under $5000.
A 23-year-old man, also from Watford, is charged with possession of stolen property, 27 counts of uttering forged documents, and 27 counts of fraud under $5000.
