A local woman is facing charges following a shoplifting incident in Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a business on Keil Drive South at around 6 p.m. on Thursday, after a woman attempted to leave the store without paying for several items.
Authorities said the woman also pushed two employees while leaving, however, no one was injured.
Staff provided officers with a description of the woman and a suspect, who is known to police, was arrested nearby on Warwick Drive.
A 30-year-old Chatham woman is now charged with robbery and possession of stolen property under $5,000. She was taken to police headquarters and later released with conditions and a future court date.
