Municipal officials are looking to address safety concerns at homeless encampments in Chatham-Kent.

As they prepare for their next meeting, members of the Encampment Advisory Committee are inviting residents to submit any questions or concerns for the Chatham-Kent Police Service and Chatham-Kent Fire and Rescue.

Issues submitted by June 9th will then be reviewed and answered by authorities during the committee’s next meeting on June 16.

Questions can be submitted through the Let’s Talk Chatham-Kent website. Physical forms can also be picked up and submitted in-person at the Chatham Civic Centre or the Health and Human Services building at 435 Grand Ave. West.

Officials say any questions will help support informed community discussions and public understanding of encampment-related issues in Chatham-Kent.
