A Chatham-Kent utility has made a donation to help local families achieve safe, affordable homeownership.
Habitat for Humanity Chatham-Kent has received $25,000 from Entegrus to help working, lower-income families achieve their dream of owning a home.
“Our role as a local utility goes beyond delivering electricity,” said Jim Hogan, president and CEO of Entegrus, in a news release. “It includes investing in partnerships like Habitat for Humanity that contribute to sustainable, stable, thriving communities.”
Entegrus has partnered with Habitat for Humanity for more than a decade to help develop safe, affordable homes that strengthen neighbourhoods and support long-term community stability.
The recent donation will support Habitat’s upcoming build in the municipality. Habitat officials say they are still finalizing this year’s project, with details expected to be released in the next month or so.
