Entegrus Fined In Workplace Incident

Entegrus is looking at fines on $70,000 for the company’s role in the injury of two workers in Strathroy more than a year ago.

The Chatham based utility company pleaded guilty in the Aug. 2016 incident that saw two people hurt while changing a switch on a utility pole.

The proper safety equipment and protocols weren’t followed, and two workers suffered electrical burns.

London court by Justice of the Peace Anna Hampson levied the fine in a London court today.
