Rain or shine, Entegrus is back with its annual Thanksgiving meal for those in need.
The company has been handing out free turkey lunches for nine years, and in keeping with COVID protocols, will be offering take-out once again this year.
Meals will be handed out on Friday outside of the Spirit and Life Centre on Wellington St. W. in Chatham starting at 11am, first come first served.
“We are grateful for our community partners who have helped ensure we would be able to continue our tradition with the St. Joseph’s and St. Ursula’s Society of St. Vincent De Paul despite the pandemic,” Entegrus President Jim Hogan says. “Their commitment ensures our ability to still provide a special meal for those in need.”
Burns Restaurant will be preparing the individually packaged meals, and Evans Wholesale is once again providing additional meal items & the use of a refrigerated truck to transport the food.
Last year, Entegrus and its sponsors served up 200 meals, and is planning for 225 this year.
All those taking part in the lunch are asked to adhere to social distancing while standing in line. Meals are limited to one per person.
