A holiday tradition continues in Chatham-Kent, as the municipality’s electricity distributor is giving back to those in need ahead of the Thanksgiving weekend.

Entegrus will be holding its 11th annual Thanksgiving lunch on Friday for those less fortunate in the community. The meal will be held in-person at the Spirit and Life Centre at 184 Wellington Street West in Chatham after three years of take-out style because of the pandemic.

The luncheon will begin at 11am, while supplies last. Burns Restaurant will be preparing the meals and desserts provided by Maple City Bakery.

“Our commitment to supporting those in need remains stronger than ever,” stated Jim Hogan, President, and CEO of Entegrus. “We are grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact and offer a warm, comforting meal to those who need it most.”

In 2022, 200 take-out meals were distributed, and Entegrus officials say they are prepared for similar numbers this year.
