SUMMARY:Trivia Night: Tournament of Champions
DESCRIPTION:Chatham-Kent Public Library is celebrating Canadian Library Month with “Trivia Night: Tournament of Champions”. \nThis virtual tournament will take place from October 1 to 29. Participants will receive a new quiz by email each week. At the end of the tournament\, the top scorers will be entered into a draw for a prize. The prize must be picked up at a CKPL branch. \nRegistration is required. Participants must be registered by September 30 to be eligible for the tournament. To register please contact Ask CKPL by phone at 519-354-2940 or by email at cklibrary@chatham-kent.ca. \nCanadian Library Month was launched in 2006 by the Canadian Library Association. The month-long celebration invites communities to visit their local library and experience all that libraries have to offer. DESCRIPTION:Local residents will be lacing up their running shoes for a good cause this weekend. \nSunday\, October 5 marks the annual CIBC Run for the Cure in support of Canadians impacted by breast cancer. \nRegistration begins at 9:30 at John McGregor Secondary School on Cecile Avenue in Chatham\, followed by opening ceremonies at 10\, which will include a tribute to the Participants of Hope who will share their stories and personal connections to breast cancer. \nProceeds help fund various support programs offered by the Canadian Cancer Society\, including transportation for patients to get to their breast cancer treatments; peer support programs; wigs\, headware\, and breast prostheses; and funding breast cancer research in Canada. \nCLICK HERE to register or make a donation.
