SUMMARY:Trivia Night: Tournament of Champions
DESCRIPTION:Chatham-Kent Public Library is celebrating Canadian Library Month with “Trivia Night: Tournament of Champions”. \nThis virtual tournament will take place from October 1 to 29. Participants will receive a new quiz by email each week. At the end of the tournament\, the top scorers will be entered into a draw for a prize. The prize must be picked up at a CKPL branch. \nRegistration is required. Participants must be registered by September 30 to be eligible for the tournament. To register please contact Ask CKPL by phone at 519-354-2940 or by email at cklibrary@chatham-kent.ca. \nCanadian Library Month was launched in 2006 by the Canadian Library Association. The month-long celebration invites communities to visit their local library and experience all that libraries have to offer. The fair\, organized by the Moore Agricultural Society\, was established in 1850. The 2025 fair theme is “Home Grown\, Home Made\, Farm Fresh”. \nFair details: \nThe 2025 Brigden Fair\, celebrating its 175th anniversary\, will be held from Friday\, October 10 to Monday\, October 13\, at the Brigden Fairgrounds. Established in 1850\, the fair’s location moved before settling permanently in Brigden in 1889. The theme for the 2025 fair is “Home Grown\, Home Made\, Farm Fresh”. \nAnniversary events and attractions \nThe 175th anniversary fair will feature various attractions: \nAgricultural showcases\, including livestock competitions.\nHomecraft exhibits. \nMidway rides and family entertainment such as a Baby Show and Farm Olympics. \nLive music and other entertainment. \nA new Golden Ambassador competition for individuals aged 70 and older who have contributed to the fair. \nA demolition derby.
