Fallen Local OPP Officer Remembered

A Chatham-Kent OPP sergeant killed in the line of duty in 2000, is being remembered as part of a provincial police memorial campaign.

Sergeant Margaret Eve’s daughter Colleen is featured in a video by the Ontario Police Memorial Foundation to raise awareness about the annual event that honours Ontario police officers who died in the line of duty.

“She has her name here on the wall in Toronto. That truly is something that keeps her memory alive. It lets me and my family know that she was really important not only to us, but to the whole OPP association. It is so important to me that her memory lives on in the best way possible and she is continued to be remembered.”

The Ontario Police Memorial Ceremony of Remembrance is being held May 3rd in Toronto.
