A local man spent some time behind bars over the weekend after a family dispute turned ugly.
Chatham-Kent Police were called to a Patteson Avenue home on Saturday. Authorities say a 44-year-old man was asked to leave the property, but became upset and allegedly assaulted another person and several police officers.
The accused is now facing charges of assault, three counts of assaulting police, and resisting arrest. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
