Fatal Crash Claims Chatham Woman’s Life

A crash in Howard Township over the weekend has claimed a life.

According to Chatham-Kent Police, a Thamesville man was driving a pick-up truck puling a grain vac, heading north on Victoria Road Sunday afternoon. As he turned right onto Botany Line, he was rear-ended by a fast-moving car.

The 32-year-old woman driving the car was taken to hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. Police say a 62-year-old Thamesville man behind the wheel of the pick-up wasn’t physically hurt.

No names have been released at this point.
