OPP are investigating after a fatal crash on the 401 near Tilbury on Monday morning.
The eastbound lanes of the 401 just east of County Road 42 remain closed following the two-vehicle collision just after 11AM.
Police say both vehicles were travelling eastbound when a collision occurred resulting in one vehicle leaving the roadway coming to a stop in the south ditch.
One person has been pronounced deceased at the scene and a second person has been transported to hospital with life threatening injuries. The driver of the second vehicle was not injured.
The eastbound lanes at County Road 42 are expected to remain closed for several hours to allow for investigation..
