A festival celebrating hometown spirit and delicious butter tarts is coming to Chatham.
The Tart & Soul Butter Tart Festival will be held on June 28 at Sons of Kent Brewing Co., featuring a full day of music, a maker’s market, and decadent butter tarts.
The event will also include a Butter Tart Competition, which is expected to attract “Tartisans” from Welland, Windsor, Sarnia, Etobicoke, Erin, Innisfil, London, Goodrich, and Cottam. The competition will award the best tarts in several categories such as People’s Choice, Best Tart Judged, Specialty Tart, and Best Homemade Tart.
Organized by Chatham food enthusiast Doug Robbins, also known as Dougthefoodie, in collaboration with the Curious Bird Market, the Tart & Soul Butter Tart Festival will kick off at 11 a.m. and will be free to attend.
