The Festival of Nations is coming back in 2019.

After a roughly 20 year hiatus the event goes Saturday, June 29th through Monday, July 1 at Tecumseh Park.

A community pancake breakfast will be held Canada Day morning. Entertainment and children’s crafts will take place and closing ceremonies will be held at mid afternoon.

Co chair Tracy Callaghan says 80s Canadian Rock staple Loverboy will play a free show.

“The park opens noon Saturday, runs till the fireworks are finished, then on Sunday it’s 9am to dusk, The band starts at dusk,” says Callaghan. “Then on Monday it’s 9am until the closing ceremonies in the afternoon.”

Callaghan says there is no cost to get into the event.
