Charges have been laid after an argument turned violent in South Buxton.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a disturbance on Shadd Road shortly before midnight on Saturday, after an argument between two men escalated into a physical fight.
During the fight, a 26-year-old Florence man was assaulted, along with a 34-year-old Ridgetown man who tried to intervene. Both men were assessed by EMS at the scene but did not require further medical treatment.
A 48-year-old Ridgetown man was arrested and is now charged with two counts of assault. He was later released from custody with a November court date.
