A local man has turned himself in to police after a gun was pulled during a fight in Chatham.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to an area of Highland Drive at around 3:30 p.m. on November 8 after a physical altercation between two men ended with one of them pulling out a firearm. The man then left the area in a vehicle.

Using video surveillance from the area, officers identified a suspect and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

The 44-year-old Blenheim man turned himself in at police headquarters on Thursday morning. He is now charged with carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault with a weapon, and using a firearm while committing an offence.

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
