Firefighters Rescue Multiple Cats From House Fire

Multiple cats were lucky to escape with all of their nine lives after being rescued from a house fire in Tilbury.

Chatham-Kent Fire and Rescue said firefighters from Station 19 responded to a house fire at 4 Ella St. N just after 11 a.m. on Wednesday. Additional crews from Stations 17 and 20 were also called in to assist with the blaze.

Fire officials said multiple cats had to be rescued from the home and were given oxygen.

No injuries were reported.

The fire remains under investigation and a damage estimate has not yet been determined.
