The province is expanding its Disaster Recovery Assistance program for residents affected by last February’s flooding in Chatham and Thamesville.
Hundreds of residents in the two communities suffered damage to homes and businesses after a combination of melting snow and ice and heavy caused significant flooding along the Thames River.
The newly expanded area for disaster relief includes sections of Grand Avenue East toward Michener in Chatham, and a wider swath to the east of Thamesville.
The deadline for applications in the newly-expanded areas is October 15th.
