Flood Warning Issued, Roads To Avoid

Heavy rainfall has caused a considerable rise in water levels over the weekend.

The St. Clair Region Conservation Authority is now issuing a flood warning.

Many are reporting minor flooding through the area with a peak in water levels expected late Monday evening to early Tuesday morning.

Strong winds on Sunday caused back-flow in Wallaceburg with levels spilling over the banks. Winds are expected to slowly subside overnight and through the day Monday.

Residents along the Lake St. Clair shoreline may also experience wind-driven high water levels and wave action, with a potential for erosion.
