Flood Watch Issued in the St Clair Region

With as much a 90 mm of rain possible over the next few days, officials are keeping a close eye on area waterways.

Sydenham River, August 19, 2019.

A flood watch has been issued by the St Clair Region Conservation Authority.

Heavy rainfall is expected to begin after midnight on Saturday, which could cause flooding in low-lying areas.

Winds from south and southwesterly directions have the potential to create a backwater effect, further elevating water levels in Wallaceburg.
