Flooding Concerns Rise Once Again

Conservation officials are keeping a close watch on area waterways once again.

Sydenham River, May 2, 2019.

The St Clair Region Conservation Authority says the Sydenham River remains high, particularly in Wallaceburg and with more rain in the forecast, the risk of flooding increases.

A safety bulletin has also been issued for the Lower Thames Valley region with record high water levels on Lake Erie and Lake St Clair.

Both lakes are now 18 cm higher than they were at this time last year.
