It’s the first fog day of the 2026-27 school year in Chatham-Kent and Lambton County.
Environment Canada has issued a Yellow Level Fog Advisory for Tuesday, September 29 with thick fog and reduced visibility across the region.
School buses have been cancelled in Zones 1 through 8, serving the Lambton Kent, St. Clair Catholic, and Providence French Catholic school boards.
All school buses will be back on the road this afternoon to bring students home from school.
Drivers are urged to use caution this morning with visibility near zero in some areas. Motorists are reminded to turn on their full headlights, slow down, and maintain a safe following distance.
