The Festival Of Giving WILL continue this year, in virtual fashion.
On October 17th, the Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation will host its annual Festival of Giving in a new way, “Until we can FOG again”.
With restrictions on social gatherings put in place because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the CTC Foundation has had to pivot and plan for a virtual event, while still raising important funds needed for the Children’s Treatment Centre.
Virtual guests can expect an evening of entertainment and fun, all from the comfort of your home including a 1 in 1,000 chance to win a 2020 Mazda3 GX1, sponsored by Chatham Mazda.
The live and silent auctions will also continue, with a twist. Silent auction items will be available to bid on for the week prior to the event. The virtual Festival will also host a round of exciting live auction items to bid on virtually on the evening of the event.
Attendees also receive an exciting FOG bag filled with goodies from local Chatham-Kent businesses, valued at $75 each and a tax receipt valued at $100.If you purchased a ticket that was to be used in April, the ticket will be honoured for the October 17 event.
Once details are finalized, all ticket holders will be notified of the new information via email. A relaunch of ticket sales will begin on August 4, 2020.
Funds raised by the CTC-CK Foundation directly supports therapy and services that our children and youth so richly deserve.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has definitely made an impact on our fundraising projects.” says Mike Genge, CTC Foundation President. “But the Foundation continues to work as a team to come up with different ways of meeting our fundraising goals, so that we can continue to support the over 5,000 kids that use the Centre each year.”
Support from the community for the Children’s Treatment Centre and Foundation will help ensure that the Centre can continue providing specialized care and therapy to the children in Chatham-Kent, so that children of all abilities can reach their full potential.
