A recent commitment to match donations will help to replace a piece of aging diagnostic imaging equipment at Chatham-Kent’s hospital.
The James A. Beattie Foundation has promised to match all donations made to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation up to $20,000 for Giving Tuesday on December 3.
All funds raised will go towards the purchase of a fluoroscopy machine for the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, which provides real-time X-ray guidance, enabling hospital staff to perform accurate, minimally invasive procedures that will reduce patient recovery times and improve outcomes. According to foundation officials, the current fluoroscopy machine at CKHA is nearing the end of its lifecycle.
Giving Tuesday is a global movement dedicated to giving back, celebrated each year on the first Tuesday after Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
The foundation is also holding its annual Igniting Healthcare Holiday 50/50 draw to raise additional funds for the important piece of diagnostic imaging equipment.
To have donations matched, community members can make a donation online anytime on or before December 3. Click here for more information.
