A Chatham man is facing fraud charges.
Police launched an investigation following a theft complaint from a McNaughton Avenue East business on November 16th.
Authorities say a man allegedly stole $4000 worth of tools and cheques. One cheque had been forged and an attempt made to cash it at a local bank.
This Thursday, a suspect was arrested.
A 34-year-old man is facing charges of theft, possession of stolen property, fraud, and uttering forged documents.
He was released from custody with conditions and a date in court next month.
