The provincial government is encouraging the public to spend some quality time in nature and enjoy Ontario’s parks free of charge.
In celebration of Healthy Parks Healthy People Day, all of the province’s 75 parks, including Rondeau and Wheatley Provincial Park, will be open for free day-use on Friday to mark the occasion and to promote the health benefits of getting outside in nature.
Anyone attending provincial parks can take advantage of the programs and facilities offered year-round. Most parks also offer the chance to go hiking, cycling, paddling, swimming and more.
Those interested visiting a provincial park on Healthy Parks Healthy People Day are encouraged to obtain a daily vehicle permit in advance to guarantee access.
