Damage is pegged at $400,000 after a house fire southwest of Ridgetown. 
Fire fighters responded to an older two-storey home on Front Line just before 1am Monday morning, with heavy flames coming from the back of the building.
Crews from Ridgetown, Orford, and Blenheim battled the blaze as it spread into the attic of the building.
No one was hurt.
The cause remains under investigation.
