Over $150,000 has been raised to support kids with special needs in the community.
The fourth annual Gala for the Kids was held at the Chatham Armoury Saturday night with a sold-out crowd of 175 people, a disco themed dance floor, live entertainment, and both live and silent auctions.
Saturday’s event brought in $159,000, $80,000 of which was raised during the evening’s live auction.
All funds raised for the Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent support specialized equipment, therapeutic recreation, music therapy, pool programs and other critical services that are not covered by government funding.
