You can expect to see more construction in the Wallaceburg area as Union Gas is preparing for its Panhandle Reinforcement Pipeline project.
Brian Lennie, Stakeholder Engagement Specialist for Union Gas, says they’re increasing the capacity of the pipeline.
“We’re seeing an increased demand for natural gas in southwestern Ontario, pprimarily we’re seeing a lot of that interest in the greenhouse sector,” Lennie says. “This project seeks to meet that demand by expanding the capacity of our network.”
A temporary construction yard has been built in Wallaceburg.
The pipeline runs from Dawn-Euphemia to Dover and construction will begin next month.
