The Ontario Health Coalition is gearing up for what it hopes will be a massive rally this coming weekend.
Conrad Noel, of Wallaceburg’s SOS committee, is helping to organize the event and says there are a couple of key issues.
“The major ones are the public health units, (the province) wants to reduce them from 35 to 10,” Noel says. “The one that really affects us as well is downsizing local paramedics, the ambulance dispatch services, from 49 to 10, this is across the province.”
Noel says fewer dispatch services could spell disaster when calling 9-1-1 in an emergency.
The rally is set to begin at 11am on Saturday at the Bradley Convention Centre in Chatham.
