Get Outdoors!

A unique challenge is being presented to people across the province.

Both the provincial Government and Ontario Parks are challenging residents to spend more time in nature.

The Ontario Parks 30 by 30 Nature Challenge begins this August and encourages Ontarians to spend at least 30 minutes per day in nature for 30 days.

Ontario Parks says that interacting with nature is good for both physical and mental health because it can reduce stress, strengthen the immune system, lower blood pressure, and reduce the risk of certain types of cancer.

While you can participate in the challenge almost anywhere, Ontario Parks also has a park locator tool which makes it easy to find a nearby provincial park.
