Canadian Blood Services is asking area residents to give the gift of life for the holidays. 
The agency says demand typically goes up this time of year, while donations decline.
Stormy weather across the country has seen a sharp drop in donations the last few weeks.
A blood donor clinic is being held in Chatham on Christmas Eve at the Polish Canadian Club, with another clinic scheduled in Dresden on December 29th.
