Today is World Alzheimer’s Day.
The Alzheimer Society of Chatham-Kent is teaming up with Nest Realty, encouraging everyone to Go Blue or Go Home.
Nest Realty was originally going to organize a different fundraiser for the local organization, but had to change its plans because of the pandemic.
It’s now shifting gears with a raffle for three blue-themed prizes worth more than $5000. Tickets go on sale this morning and can be purchased through the Nest Realty office.
E-transfer to becca@nestrealty.ca with the password “goblue” in lowercase lettering, and include your name, home address, cell number, email address, number of tickets requested and total paid. A picture of your tickets will then be emailed back to you or you can pick them up at the Nest Realty office located at 5 Llewellyn Street.
You can also buy tickets with cash at the Nest Realty office. Office hours are Monday to Thursdays from 9:30am to 4:00pm. A mask must be worn upon entering the office.
Residents can have a chance at winning a cash prize of $100 by posting a picture of yourself wearing blue, on Facebook or Instagram, today. The post must include the hashtag #GoBlueforAlz and tag Nest Realty and ASCK in their post. The winner will be drawn at random and announced on September 22nd.
The Alzheimer’s Society of Chatham-Kent supports over 3000 people living with dementia and their families in the municipality.
