Provincial Police are crediting a Good Samaritan with potentially saving another man’s life.
A call for help was sent out from a boat on Lake Erie near Wheatley Harbour on Thursday. Authorities say two men in an 18-foot vessel were having mechanical issues when one of them went into medical distress.
An officer arrived at the marina and with the help of another boater they towed the vessel back to shore, where paramedics took the victim to hospital for treatment.
Authorities say the unselfish act by the second boater prevented the situation from becoming a tragic one.
