Volunteers with the Chatham Goodfellows are hitting the streets.
The annual Street Sales fundraiser, part of the overall No Child Without a Christmas campaign, kicks off today and continues tomorrow. Volunteers will be spread across Chatham wearing their tell-tale red aprons and handing out copies of the Goodfellows newspaper.
Last year’s street sales campaign drew $31,475 in donations.
Delivery of toy baskets takes place next Wednesday, and the food hampers will be packed up and delivered on Thursday.
More than 1,600 food hampers were delivered and 1,360 children were provided toys over the holidays as part of the 70th annual campaign last year.
