Gord Carroll

Mr. Gordon “Gord” Carroll, a resident of Port Lambton, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2015 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Public General Campus, in Chatham, at the age of 76.
Gord was born in Wallaceburg and was a son of George “Slim” and Helen (Tyhurst) Carroll. Beloved husband of Yvonne (Demers) Carroll.
Loving father of Debra Walton (Pat) of Chatham, Mike Carroll (Jayne Parker) of Wallaceburg and Kevin (Donna) Carroll of Exeter.
Sadly missed by his grandchildren Donni, Mario, Shelley, Clinton, Randi, his great grandchildren Brenden, Madeleine and Parker, his step grandchildren Toni, Michelle, Joe and his step great grandchildren Brenden, Brittany and Keegan.
Kind brother and brother-in-law of James (Shirley) Carroll of Florida, Alice Demers of Chatham and Rose Charron of Chatham.
Predeceased by his brother Larry Carroll, his brothers-in-law Joe Demers, Norm Charron and his sister Mary Jane Grant.
Gord worked 44 years at Dominion Glass Co., Sugar Co., in Wallaceburg, and also painted with his father and worked in tomatoes.
He loved his family and grandchildren, fishing, hunting, bowling, cards, Christmas, country music, dancing and just fun in general. He was very proud to be able to do the Torch Run in 1988.

Friends will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, on Sunday, April 26, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 27, 2015 from the Chapel of the Funeral Home, at 11:00 a.m.
Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation may be left at the funeral home.
As a living memorial, a tree will be planted in Nicholls Memorial Forest in memory of Gordon “Gord” Carroll.
