It’s a proud day for hundreds of students at St Clair College as they prepare to walk across the stage at the Capitol Theatre to accept their diplomas.

Roughly 370 students from the Chatham Campus will take part in today’s spring convocation ceremony, recognizing students from 24 programs, ranging from Nursing and Early Childhood Education, to Powerline Technician and Border Services.

“Convocation is a celebration of achievement and you graduate with something that carries real and lasting value, a St. Clair College education,” said St. Clair College President, Michael Silvaggi in a news release. “It represents more than the successful completion of your program. It reflects a learning experience grounded in practical application, guided by faculty with real-world expertise, and shaped by opportunities to engage directly with your chosen field.”

Jenn Pestrin, Executive Director of Community Living Windsor, and graduate of Chatham’s Developmental Services Worker program, will provide the convocation address.

Today’s Spring Convocation begins at 1 o’clock.

Ceremonies were held for St Clair College’s Windsor programs last week.
