Grand Bend Crash Leads to Charges for Wallaceburg Driver

A Wallaceburg man is facing impaired driving charges after being pulled over by police in Grand Bend.

Lambton OPP responded to a traffic complaints shortly after midnight on May 3rd and found the suspect vehicle on Ontario Street South.

Following further investigation, the 35-year-old driver from Wallaceburg was arrested and charged with several offences under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act, including driving while impaired by alcohol and drugs, driving without a valid permit, and failing to surrender a license.

The accused was issued a 90-day license suspension and had his vehicle impounded for seven days.

He was released from custody but will have to be back in court in Sarnia next month.
